Karolina Kowalska is a versatile artists; she deals with photography, installations, objects and video art. Their subject-matter revolves around space: of a city, flat, and recently also the virtual one. Kowalska does not like defining her art according to one key concept; she dexterously steals away from easy classifications imposed by art critics, moving speedily in different directions following her interests. What is constant in her works is a peculiar sense of black humour, complemented with subtle irony. In the ART IN CIEMNA cycle we will present Kowalska’s old works such as „Self-servis” and „Opcja Boska” as well as the most recent ones.
