No Local Foundaion took part in a discussion panel and a review of independent galleries which emerged after the year 2000.

"We would like to start a discussion on the need of existence and activity of small independent galleries in different towns in Poland which generate basic ideas that are later taken up by big central institutions.
We would like to discuss their problems, their ephemeral nature, and their relative independence. As some of these places worked for a short time we would like to recount their programmes and goals. Independent galleries in Poland have a very long tradition, so we would like to define the differences between present galleries and the ones from the 70s and 80s and the way in which the new galleries are influenced by their predecessors".
